Nigel Edwards trails Mark Williams by just six points as the 2025 Circuit Powerboat Association T850 British Championship heads to its finale at Stewartby this weekend.
The Jelf Racing driver from Bedford is targeting the Double British Crown after securing the T850 British Sprint Championship at the same venue in August. Williams, meanwhile, is chasing his 28th British Championship title.
Edwards on the Challenge:
This weekend is going to be intense. The boat was really handling nice and performing well at the Sprints so hopefully we can take that progress into this weekend and really push Mark for the title.
Mark is a formidable racer he doesn’t have 27 British titles for being a push over so he will make any chance of me taking the title as difficult as possible for me but the fight isn’t over and I am ready to push back to take away some silverware this weekend.
Edwards enters the weekend knowing he needs to outperform the multi-champion to claim his first T850 British Championship and complete the Double British Crown.
