The GT15 European Championship returns to Sweden’s historic Östhammar circuit this weekend, bringing together 16 drivers from across seven nations for what promises to be a tightly contested battle.
The venue, located 140 kilometres north of Stockholm, has deep roots in powerboat racing dating back to the 1950s and previously hosted the GT15 World Championship in 2020 which was won by Hilmer Wiberg.
Nordic Dominance Expected
The entry list reveals a clear Nordic bias with eight drivers from Finland and Estonia and three three local hopefuls from Sweden.
Representing Great Britain are Poppy Stewart and Zach Jelf, son of UIM F2 racer and Sandbanks resident Owen, while single entries from Latvia and Bulgaria round out the international field.
Course
The 1030-meter Östhammar circuit has five turn marks and 400-meter main straight between buoys three and four.
