Cremona To Carry Olympic Torch After Fourth F250 Title

C&B Racing Academy has described 2025 as an exceptional season following Massimiliano Cremona’s fourth consecutive F250 World Championship title and the team’s strengthened youth development programme ahead of hosting a major international event in 2026.

The Piacenza-based driver added the European F250 Championship to his world title. The four consecutive world championships confirm Cremona’s dominance in the F250 class.

Olympic Torch Relay Honour

Cremona will carry the Olympic Torch through Piacenza on 16 January as part of the Milano-Cortina 2026 relay, reports Piacenza 24. The flame will pass through the city between 18:12 and 19:30 GMT, with the world champion selected as one of the torchbearers in recognition of his sporting achievements.

Youth Development Takes Priority

Alessandro Cremona postponed his planned competitive return after a two-year absence to concentrate on developing the academy’s young drivers. Work commitments and race cancellations contributed to delaying his comeback, which has now been rescheduled for 2026.

The academy’s focus on youth development delivered results through Jacopo Ravasio, who finished second in the GT30 Championship after overcoming several difficult seasons. His European Championship campaign showed promise before an incident prevented a potential podium finish.

Team manager Alex Cremona said the academy follows the model established by major motorsport academies, where continuous learning forms the foundation of driver development. The programme introduces drivers to powerboat racing before supporting their progression, whether they choose independence or remain with the team.

International Events Confirmed for 2026

Motonautica San Nazzaro will host a UIM F2 World Championship round alongside the European OSY/400 Championship in 2026. The River Po venue previously hosted F2 World Championship rounds in 2024 and 2025, and a F1H2O World Championship round in 2021.

The academy will run two to three open days during early 2026 to identify and recruit new talent. These sessions offer prospective drivers their first experience of powerboat racing before making any commitment to competitive participation.

The 2026 season marks dual anniversaries for the organisation, with Motonautica San Nazzaro celebrating 40 years and C&B Racing Team reaching its 20th year. Academy instructors led by Alessandro Cremona will continue developing the current group of young drivers throughout the season.
