Nineteen boats make up the confirmed entry list for Round 3 of the UIM F2 World Championship at San Nazzaro, 28-30 August 2026. The list adds Tullio Abbate and Oleg Bocca to the grid that raced at Brindisi in June, alongside the return of Luca Fornasarig after seven years away from the championship.
2 time European champion Edgaras Riabko heads into San Nazzaro as championship leader. Peter Morin and Mathilda Wiberg, second and third in the standings, are both confirmed to start; tenth-placed Dainis Podžuks does not appear on the San Nazzaro entry list. Hilmer Wiberg arrives at San Nazzaro as the new UIM F2 European Champion, having won the title at Viverone with a heat to spare. His sister Mathilda races on as reigning World Champion, the first woman to hold the title. The siblings sit third and fourth in the 2026 world standings, six points apart.

New Faces at San Nazzaro
Tullio Abbate makes his first UIM F2 World Championship start of 2026 and races alongside nephew Giacomo Sacchi. He is a UIM World Endurance Champion from 2019 and Class S2 winner at the 24 Heures Motonautiques de Rouen in 2017, and took pole position at the 2024 Grand Prix of Italy in Brindisi, a result the local press framed at the time as pinching top spot from his own nephew.
Oleg Bocca is also entered for his F2 debut, in a 2002 DAC hull for Rainbow Team, one year older than Bocca himself. His father Fabrizio Bocca won the 1992 F1 World Championship and now serves as Sport Circuit Commission President at the Federazione Italiana Motonautica. Oleg won the Italian GT30 Championship in 2021 and 2023 before stepping up to F2, and his long-term ambition is to reach F1H2O and return Rainbow Team to the championship his father won in 1992.
Duarte Benavente continues from Brindisi, where he scored a point. The Portuguese driver won the 2020 UIM F2 World Championship with Atlantic Team, taking the title with a pole-to-flag victory in the finale, 26.609 seconds clear of Riabko. He is also racing UIM F1H2O this season alongside Ben Jelf, the only driver competing at both world championship circuit levels simultaneously since Peter Morin left China CTIC.
Luca Fornasarig returns to the world championship grid for the first time since Brindisi 2019, where he finished 14th. He was entered for the 2024 San Nazzaro round but did not start, and made his comeback at Viverone in August 2026, finishing 13th in the standalone F2 European Championship after seven years away from F2 competition.
