Edgaras Riabko takes a two-point lead into Peso da Régua, but the 2026 UIM F2 World Championship is far from settled. With two rounds and a maximum 40 points still on the table, here’s how the title race actually stacks up, and what else is in play.
The Standings
Two of three completed rounds have paid points. Klaipėda opened the season on June 7, Brindisi followed on June 28. San Nazzaro, round three on August 30, was halted minutes into the race after a multi-boat accident ended proceedings.
That leaves the top of the table unchanged since Brindisi:
- Edgaras Riabko (LTU) — 32 points
- Peter Morin (FRA) — 30 points
- Mathilda Wiberg (SWE) — 27 points
- Hilmer Wiberg (SWE) — 21 points
- Nelson Morin (FRA) — 16 points
If a Bookmaker Were Pricing It
With a win worth 20 points and two rounds left, 40 points are still up for grabs, enough on paper to swing the title several times over. Here’s how the market would likely read it:
- Edgaras Riabko — 4/6 favourite. Leads by two, and has been on the podium at every round that’s actually paid points. A repeat of his Brindisi form closes this out at Peso da Régua.
- Peter Morin — 15/8. Two points back with matching 15-15 scores from the first two rounds, the most consistent driver in the field so far. He knows exactly how this ends badly: last year he started the Vila Velha finale from pole with the title mathematically alive, only for a fuse worth under a euro to end his race and his championship in the same moment.
- Mathilda Wiberg — 4/1. The defending champion won Klaipėda outright but managed only seventh at Brindisi. Very much alive, needs the two ahead of her to falter.
- Hilmer Wiberg — 25/1. Eleven points back. Mathematically alive with 40 still to play for, but needs a near-collapse from both Riabko and Morin to have a realistic route. Already has one title in the bag this year, having won the 2026 UIM F2 European Championship at Viverone in August with a heat to spare.
- Nelson Morin — 66/1. Sixteen back. Technically not impossible, practically needs the whole top of the table to have a nightmare fortnight.
- The rest of the field — no realistic chance, whatever the maths says on paper.
Peso da Régua
Fourteen boats are confirmed for the first race in Portugal.
Dainis Podžuks returns after missing San Nazzaro entirely. Buby Bertels is also back after his boat was one of five involved in the San Nazzaro accidents.
