Round 4 of the 2026 UIM F2 World Championship returns to the River Douro at Peso da Régua from Friday 18 to Sunday 20 September, the first of two Portuguese rounds that close out the season. The race is organised jointly by the Federação Portuguesa de Motonáutica and the Câmara Municipal de Peso da Régua.
Edgaras Riabko leads the championship standings on 32 points, two ahead of Peter Morin and five ahead of Mathilda Wiberg, a gap unchanged since Brindisi. Round 3 at San Nazzaro was halted seconds after the start of the deciding heat when a collision involving four boats brought the day’s racing to an end, and produced no championship points. The paddock returns to racing at Peso da Régua with two rounds left to decide the title.
On the Water
The course sits on the Douro between Peso da Régua’s riverside quay and the terraced vineyards climbing the valley on both banks, one of the more scenic settings on the F2 calendar. The single-pilot tunnel-hull boats race a 1,685-metre circuit, with a maximum of 18 boats permitted on the water at once, starting dead-engine from the jetty as signalled by lights.
