Peter Morin heads into the 2026 UIM F2 World Championship in form. At the start of May, he and co-drivers Nelson Morin and Thomas Cleret won the 2026 UIM S3 World Endurance Championship for Team Touax MRK Racing at Poses.
Italian outfit Team RPM has now confirmed the Frenchman for the full F2 World and European Championship season. Team principal Alessandro Canzi made the announcement on social media on Thursday, May 14.
Canzi left no room for doubt about where Morin stands within the team.
Alessandro Canzi, Team RPM:
Peter is a driver of great talent, a perfectionist, a friend of many years who I have respect and esteem. I really like his precision, his passion and his driving style. He is part of the RPM family and so there was never any doubt about his driving seat.
The motivation to return is not hard to find. Morin came within a blown fuse of the 2025 F2 world title, starting from pole position at Vila Velha de Ródão with the championship mathematically alive. An electrical fault worth under a euro ended his race, and with it his best chance in years of a second F2 world crown.
RPM has completed a winter programme of preparation and testing, with Canzi confirming further development sessions are still scheduled before the campaign opens. Round 1 of the F2 World Championship gets under way in Klaipėda, Lithuania on 5-7 June.
Morin also races in F1H2O. He lines up alongside Brent Dillard at the China CTIC team for the 2026 Grand Prix season.
Canzi’s statement leaves one question open. Team RPM announced a second F2 entry for 2026 and said at the time it was seeking a top-level driver for the seat. There is no mention of that boat in Thursday’s announcement. With Round 1 now three weeks away in Klaipėda, the second seat remains publicly unaccounted for.
