Portugal Opens the Season
The championship begins at Barrinha da Praia in the town of Mira on July 3-5, organised by the FPM. Located in Portugal’s central coastal region, Mira hosts the event for the third consecutive year, its lagoon and coastline providing conditions well suited to closed-course aquabike racing.
Hungary Hosts Junior World Circuit Alongside
Round two moves to Győrzámoly on July 17-19 in northwestern Hungary, 6 km from downtown Győr, in the Szigetköz natural region. The venue hosts its third event, and this year the single-round Aquabike Junior World Circuit Championship runs concurrently, with young riders contesting Ski GP3.2, Ski GP 3.3 and Run GP4 categories.
The programme extends beyond the racecourse. On Friday evening, a freestyle competition takes place in Győr at the Danube-Rába confluence in front of the Kossuth Bridge, a fixture that has drawn strong public interest across the previous two seasons. Saturday night brings the lantern boat parade on the river, led by Sea-Doo Hungary and the freestyle riders.
Vichy Decides the Championships
The Allier River at Vichy hosts the season finale on September 4-6 for the third consecutive round visit to France. The 2026 European champions will be crowned at the close of the three-day event.
