What you will see

The F-125, F-250 and F-500 classes are single-seat methanol-powered hydroplanes, where the number indicates maximum engine displacement in cubic centimetres. They race on a closed heptagonal circuit of 1,500 metres marked by buoys directly on the lake. Boats start from a floating jetty with engines off; drivers fire up on the signal and go immediately to full power. F-500 is the fastest class; F-125 and F-250 produce close battles on the tight layout.

Alongside the world championship classes, four Polish Championship categories add further variety: OSY-400 and GT-30 are outboard classes, P-750 runs 750cc outboard engines, and GT-15 is a junior class open to drivers aged 10 to 16. An opening ceremony on Friday evening at 19:00 marks the start of proceedings.

Race schedule

Free practice and time trials for all classes run through Saturday morning and early afternoon. Racing begins at 15:30 on Saturday, with heats continuing through the evening. Sunday brings the final heats for all classes, with prize giving at 17:30.
