Bimba Sjöholm is back on the UIM F2 entry list, and will be racing at the Waterfestival Viverone Lake for the European Championship.

The Swede has raced since 1995, coming up through S250, T400 and Formula 1000 in a family steeped in the sport, her father and brother both raced before her. She moved into F2 in 2012 and made history in 2020 as the first woman to set pole position in UIM F2 World Championship qualifying.

Her last full season was 2021, when she finished fifth in the World Championship and second in the Nordic Championship. She returned for one more race in 2022 at Vila Velha de Ródão before stepping away from racing after the birth of her son Chester.

In an August 2025 update to her supporters she explained a new house had left no time for racing that year either, thanking her team, sponsors and friends for their patience through the gap. The boat didn’t sit idle in the meantime: partner Scott Curtis, an English racer, raced the same Molgaard hull in the 2024 UIM World Championship.
