AD Ports Group has signed a logistics partnership agreement with Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club, becoming the Official Logistics Partner of Team Abu Dhabi F1H2O for the 2026 UIM F1H2O World Championship.

The agreement was signed by Sultan Al Ghaithi, Group Chief Human Resources Officer at AD Ports Group, and Thani Al Qamzi, Executive Director of Team Abu Dhabi and Modern Sports at Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club, in the presence of senior officials from both organisations.

What the Partnership Covers

Under the deal, AD Ports Group will support the logistics operations behind Team Abu Dhabi’s global campaigns, drawing on its supply chain expertise to manage the transportation of race boats and technical equipment between events. The brand will appear across the team’s boats, race apparel, media platforms and promotional activity throughout the 2026 season.

“This partnership reflects AD Ports Group’s commitment to supporting national initiatives that showcase Abu Dhabi’s leadership and global presence. We are pleased to work with Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club and Team Abu Dhabi, leveraging our logistics expertise to support a team that embodies the values of ambition, excellence, innovation and professionalism that define the emirate.”

“This agreement represents an important milestone for Team Abu Dhabi, bringing together two organisations with a shared commitment to excellence and strengthening Abu Dhabi’s presence on the global stage. The logistics support provided by a global partner with AD Ports Group’s expertise will further enhance the team’s readiness and ability to compete at the highest levels.”

A Retired Champion Now Running the Team

Al Qamzi’s involvement carries its own thread. He raced for Team Abu Dhabi for a quarter of a century before retiring in 2025, one of the sport’s most decorated Emirati drivers before Mansoor Al Mansoori succeeded him on the water. He has since moved into the team’s executive leadership.

Team Abu Dhabi’s 2026 Campaign

The logistics deal lands as Team Abu Dhabi runs a three-boat line-up for 2026, with Jonas Andersson, Erik Stark and Rashed Al Qemzi sharing the roster. Between them, the trio has won eleven UIM F2 world titles, a record no other outfit on the grid can match.

The partnership arrives as the team heads into the back half of the F1H2O season. The championship opened at Cagliari, Italy, in late May. The Grand Prix of Kyrgyzstan at Issyk-Kul is up next, from July 31 to August 2, followed by Shanghai, Jeddah, a Grand Prix of the Middle East and the season finale at Sharjah before the year is out.

It also fits a wider pattern. AD Ports Group already backs the UAE Tour cycling race as main sponsor through to 2028, part of a broader push to attach its brand to UAE-flagged international sport alongside its trade and logistics business.
