Sunseeker International has confirmed Cross Ocean Partners and Cheyne Capital as the Company’s long-term owners, completing the ownership transfer process the two firms began in April. Scott Millar has been named incoming Chief Executive Officer, succeeding interim CEO Steve Timms.

The announcement closes out a chapter that started when the planned acquisition of Sunseeker by a consortium led by KCP Holdings collapsed in April 2026. At that point Cheyne Capital and Cross Ocean Partners, who already held positions in Sunseeker through its financial restructuring, stepped in to maintain the business and committed to further investment. That commitment has now resulted in the two firms formally becoming Sunseeker’s shareholders, with Millar confirmed as the permanent chief executive they said they would appoint.

Millar first joined Sunseeker through Teneo, where he was engaged to help develop the Company’s five-year growth plan. His work on that plan, along with his experience leading complex business transformations, led to his appointment as the natural choice to take the business forward.

Steve Timms Hands Over

Timms has led Sunseeker through the period since the KCP deal fell through, overseeing what the Company describes as an important phase of strategic development and ownership transition.

Steve Timms, outgoing interim CEO

“It was important to us not to rush the appointment of a permanent CEO. We wanted it to be someone who truly cares about this brand, who has the vision, passion and experience necessary to lead Sunseeker into its next phase of growth with true stability. Scott is the perfect choice. He and his team at Teneo were responsible for creating the five-year strategic plan that has been guiding our business.”

Timms, who joined Sunseeker as an electrician in 2000 and rose through production and operations roles before being appointed interim CEO in April, will hand over to Millar in the coming months.

Scott Millar, incoming CEO

“Sunseeker is one of the most admired names in the marine industry, with an extraordinary heritage, an exceptional product range and an incredibly talented team. What attracted me most to Sunseeker was the scale of opportunity ahead. We have a clear vision, ambitious plans for growth and the full support of our shareholders to invest in the brand, our people and our products.”
