Oskarshamn returned to the racing calendar on 4 July 2026 after several years off, the club marking 20 years since its first race with a full grid on the water. A rough sea suited the bigger, more powerful boats, and it was the C class that found the real speed, posting the quickest laps of the entire meeting.
A class: Ingvarsson holds off Kurten

The A class produced the closest fight of the day. Rikard Ingvarsson (A-36) took the win over ten laps in 01:06:34.44, holding off Anton Kurten (A-35) by just over fourteen seconds.
Kurten set the faster lap of the two, 06:33.93 to Ingvarsson’s 06:36.46, but could not close the gap on the road.

Hilmer Wiberg (A-7) was third and Linus Hjalte (A-99) fourth, the whole class covered by little more than a minute after an hour of racing.
B class: Samuelsson wins, Hamren second
Max Samuelsson (B-85) controlled the B class, taking the ten-lap win in 01:01:23.97 with the fastest lap of the class at 06:04.20.
Rasmus Hamren (B-32) followed in second at 01:02:38.72, a strong recovery after the broken shaft that ended his day early at Varracet in Oregrund earlier in the season.
Johan Kurten (B-54) was disqualified for a missed mark on the course, promoting Matilda Fredrika Wrenkler (B-61) to third after completing nine of the ten laps.
C class: Soderlind again, and the fastest laps of the day

William Soderlind (C-68) took his second straight win, leading home a nine-second scrap with Andreas Engstrom (C-28).
Engstrom actually set the quickest lap of the entire meeting at 05:13.68, a whisker ahead of Soderlind’s 05:14.15. But Soderlind had the edge over the full distance, 53:12.08 to 53:21.16.

Viktor Jansson (C-80) was third in 56:14.52. Lovisa Sahlen (C-62) was unable to add to her one recorded lap.
The rest of the grid
Krister Jansson (CL-302) won CL over five laps ahead of Anders Karlsson (CL-400). Peter Forsberg (H-71) took the H class over nine laps ahead of Tom Sellerholm and Carl Fransson.
Alvin Lindahl (J-23) was the sole J entry. In V, Dick Johansson (V-8) came out on top over ten laps in 58:30.01, with Sven Johansson (V-64) second and Tim Johansson (V-24) third. Johan Torsell (X-9) completed the ten-lap distance as the lone X entry.
Looking ahead to Norway
3B and 3C now turn to the European Championship in Tvedestrand, Norway, running 8 to 11 July.
Late news came through that the third-party insurance question had been addressed, but it landed too late for the Finnish team to join. No Finnish crew will make the trip to Norway. How much that absence hurts the event, and the sport, is the open question going into the EC.
