Giacomo Sacchi is riding high after securing pole position in Portugal, marking his second consecutive pole.
In an exclusive interview with Powerboat News, the racer shared his excitement and praised his team’s exceptional efforts.
John Moore: Giacomo Sacchi, congratulations on pole position here in Portugal! You must be thrilled.
Giacomo Sacchi: Yes, I’m absolutely chuffed! It’s my second pole position in a row, so the team is doing a fantastic job.
John Moore: Where are you finding all this speed?
Giacomo Sacchi: It’s the perfect balance between the engine, propeller, and weight distribution. My team gave me an absolute rocket today!
Giacomo Sacchi: It’s a completely different situation compared to San Nazzaro. Now we’re showing we’re quick on both tracks, and it’s all thanks to them.
John Moore: So, what’s the plan for the race tomorrow?
Giacomo Sacchi: Hopefully, make a strong start and then…
John Moore: …don’t get overtaken?
Giacomo Sacchi: Exactly!
John Moore: All the best for tomorrow, mate.
Giacomo Sacchi: Cheers, thank you!
