Team Touax MRK Racing have won Race 1 of the 24 Heures Motonautiques de Normandie 2026, completing 505 laps of the 2.183km River Seine circuit at Poses to cover 1,102.4 kilometres in twelve hours of racing that ran from noon until midnight on Friday, May 1.

Nelson Morin, Peter Morin and Thomas Cleret held the lead for most of the race and came through rain, falling temperatures and thunderstorms to finish 18 laps clear of Team Inshore Performance. Alexis Fischer, Loic Huet and Aymeric Troussel took second on 487 laps. Team Torpilleur Racing (Pierre Lambert, Romain Nedelec and Alexandre Jean) completed the podium four laps further back on 483.

The fight for second place ran to the wire. Inshore Performance and Torpilleur were locked together on 466 laps at the eleven-and-a-half hour mark. Fischer’s crew pulled clear in the final thirty minutes, finishing four laps ahead.

Monsnauteam took fourth on 465 laps, carrying an eight-lap penalty that the team protested as too severe. The eight-lap penalty stands in the official result. BRT Maverick Racing finished fifth, two laps behind on 463. Akvashelf Racing, with a three-lap penalty applied, took sixth on 432 laps.

Slovakia Team recovered strongly through the night to take seventh on 422 laps, ahead of Club Motonautique Normand in eighth on 390. Jeremy Brisset’s GSET by MRC crew completed the classified finishers in ninth on 186 laps. Brisset had flipped while leading in the second hour and walked away uninjured, yet his team set the fastest lap of the entire race: a 1:01.95 at 126.857 km/h.

Team Autovision (Boat 5) and VSI Racing (Boat 6) did not finish. Team Autovision’s retirement had been confirmed before midnight by team manager Tullio Abbate, with driver Maitos Konstantinos having injured his wrist in an earlier incident.
