The 2025 UIM F4 World Championship will reach its dramatic conclusion this weekend in Viverone, as seventeen of the world’s finest F4 drivers descend on the picturesque shores of Lake Viverone in northern Italy for the final two rounds of the season.
With 40 championship points still available, the tension is palpable.
At the top of the standings sits Latvia’s Nils Slākteris, clinging to the narrowest of leads over France’s Jean Baptiste Thomas. Both are chasing their first world crown, and the rivalry between the pair promises to add an extra spark to an already high-stakes finale.
Yet the contest is far from a two-man duel. Sweden’s Adam Wreinkler has shown relentless consistency this season, Norway’s William Leithe Martinsen also remains firmly in contention, buoyed by a string of determined performances that leave him on the cusp of glory.
Beyond the title fight, the remaining drivers are equally determined to end the season on a high. A Grand Prix double in Italy could upset the balance of the points table and provide the perfect finale for any competitor willing to seize the moment.
Format and Strategy
Each day of the weekend begins with a timed qualification session. These high-pressure runs demand precision, speed, and tactical acumen, with pole position often proving decisive when the Grand Prix unfolds in the afternoon. Securing a front-row start could be the key to victory on the shimmering waters of Lake Viverone.
With points, pride, and strategy all in play, the qualifying sessions will set the tone for each day’s racing. Expect bold overtakes, calculated risks, and no shortage of drama as drivers push both themselves and their boats to the absolute limit.
From the Race Director
UIM Race Director Jeni Jelf summed up the weekend ahead:
“The competition remains wide open, with several drivers still capable of claiming the 2025 UIM F4 World Championship crown. It will be an intense couple of days, with all seventeen drivers expected to bring their ‘A’ game and capitalise on any mistakes by the front-runners.”
On Viverone as the stage for the finale, she added:
“Viverone is the perfect setting for a championship decider. Despite its serene backdrop, the lake can deliver demanding conditions that truly test a driver’s skill and composure. May the best driver win.”
The Stage is Set
The spotlight now falls on Lake Viverone. With multiple contenders still dreaming of glory, the fight for the F4 World Championship promises high drama, daring manoeuvres, and a thrilling climax to an unforgettable season.
