The Powerboat News 2026 World Championship Calendar has been updated with the latest dates from UIM Calendar News, adding three new events and correcting venue details for aquabike and circuit racing championships.
Latest UIM Calendar Updates
The UIM published its first calendar update of 2026 in February, confirming three additional events across circuit and aquabike disciplines.
The GT30 European Championship joins the existing GT15 World Championship and GT10 Continental Cup at Kotka, Finland on August 1-2. The Finnish Sailing and Boating Federation will run all three championships in conjunction during the weekend event.
Two aquabike International Ordinary events have been added to the calendar. The first takes place June 19-21 in Varna, Bulgaria for Circuit Runabout and Ski Division classes. The second runs September 20-21 in Kaunas, Lithuania for Circuit Runabout classes.
Comprehensive Calendar Coverage
The Powerboat News 2026 calendar now lists more than 140 events across the season, covering significantly more than just UIM world championships.
The calendar includes UKOPRA offshore racing (five rounds from May through September in the United Kingdom), IHRA offshore racing (seven rounds across the United States), and the IHRA F1 Powerboat Series (eight rounds of tunnel boat racing).
Industry events such as the Miami International Boat Show (February 11-15) and historic commemorations including the Bluebird K7 Festival at Coniston Water (May 11-17) and UIM Coniston Records Week (November 3-7) are also featured.
Open to All Racing Series
Powerboat News invites race organisers from any sanctioning body or independent series to submit their 2026 dates for inclusion in the calendar.

The calendar covers Formula racing (F1H2O, F2, F4, F125, F250, F500), offshore racing (XCAT, Class 3 categories, UKOPRA, IHRA), circuit racing (GT10, GT15, GT30, OSY400, P750), electric racing (E1 Series), aquabike, motosurf, pleasure navigation and historic commemoration events.
Six Major Championships
The 2026 season features six major UIM world championship series with confirmed calendars.
F1H2O runs nine rounds from May through December with the season finale at Sharjah on December 19-21. XCAT offshore racing contests six rounds from April through December. The E1 Series electric championship completed its opening round at Jeddah in January and runs through to the Bahamas finale in November.
The F2 World Championship includes six rounds across Lithuania, Italy and Portugal from June through September. Formula world championships for F4, F125, F250 and F500 classes run throughout the European summer season from May through September.
Offshore Class 3 world championships (3B, 3D, 3J categories) take place from June through September across Italy, Norway and Sweden.
