Filip Roms’ F1LIP Junior Team has confirmed four drivers for the 2026 season, with GT15 multi-champion Leevi Paasonen making the step up to GT30 as the team targets its strongest international campaign to date.
The announcement, made by Roms on social media, also confirms a significant expansion in the GT15 class and two returns to the cockpit that carry their own storylines.
Paasonen chases GT30 glory
Leevi Paasonen has been with F1LIP Junior Team since its founding year in 2019, when he took a Finnish Championship silver medal in the SJ10 class. His 2024 season was the making of his reputation: Finnish Champion, Nordic Champion and European Champion in GT15, with a World Championship silver medal completing the haul. The Finnish Boating Federation named him both Junior Racer of the Year and Racer of the Year.
Moving to GT30 for 2026, Paasonen’s target is stated as international success in the class. The GT30 European Championship forms part of the Kotka super weekend on August 1-2, giving him a home-water shot at a title in his first GT30 season.
The Servin sisters
Adele and Alissa Servin are both from Askola in southern Finland and both race under the F1LIP banner. They arrived at the team by different routes.
Alissa’s place in the record books is already secured. At the first-ever UIM GT10 titled event, the European Cup held at Imatra in 2023, she was fastest in time trials and won all four heats. She became the first driver to win a UIM-titled race in GT10 class history. The younger of the two sisters has been absent from the competitive circuit since and returns for 2026, stepping up from GT10 to GT15.
Adele, Alissa’s older sister, took her first heat win at age nine in Kotka in 2019, racing in the SJ10 class. Now competing in GT15, she is targeting medals in international events and has her sights on improving on a Finnish Championship bronze in the class.
Rianna Roms returns for year two
Rianna Roms, daughter of team founder Filip Roms, begins her second season in the GT10 class. Her goals for 2026 are medals in both the European Cup and the Finnish Championship.
Kotka: three titles, one weekend
The backdrop to the team’s 2026 ambitions is the Finnish powerboat super weekend at Kotka on August 1-2. The event will decide the GT15 World Championship, the GT30 European Championship and the GT10 Continental Cup across a single weekend, with the Finnish Sailing and Boating Federation running all three simultaneously. Every driver in the F1LIP Junior Team lineup has a realistic route to a title at their home venue.
F1LIP Junior Team was established in 2019 under the patronage of F1H2O driver Filip Roms, with a remit to support young Finnish circuit racers through their early competitive careers.
