Meet Your Hosts: Tim Coe & Terri Spencer

Tim Coe

Owner / Skipper

Tim isn’t a charter skipper who moved to Lymington for the lifestyle. He’s been here since age 11, on these waters since he was 12 years old. That’s not marketing speak—it’s four decades of intimate knowledge of every current, every harbour, every hidden corner of the western Solent.

As an RYA commercially endorsed Advanced Powerboat Skipper, Tim brings professional credentials. But it’s his lived experience that sets him apart. He knows where the seals congregate in Newtown Creek. He understands the tidal patterns around The Needles. He can read the water around Hurst Castle like most people read a newspaper.

Beyond the helm, Tim’s background reveals someone who understands how to create experiences that stand out. A business owner since 1986, he’s built ventures across marketing, video production, property and automotive sectors. He’s an author. A former underground club DJ and music producer. Every venture guided by one principle: “Business is about standing out, not blending in.”

Terri Spencer

Owner / Hostess

If Tim is the experience on the water, Terri is the experience aboard.

Her background spans entertainment, performance, corporate events and high-end hospitality. She’s run her own entertainment agency, supplying performers to premium events. She’s worked front-of-house in blue-chip corporate environments where client experience is everything.

What that translates to: natural warmth without being overbearing, attentiveness without hovering, energy that elevates the atmosphere without dominating it. Clients consistently describe her as making the entire experience feel effortless and welcoming.

Together, Tim and Terri host every charter personally. Nothing is delegated. When you book Attitude Charter, you get the owners—not staff they’ve trained.

The Boat: Technohull Attitude 35

This isn’t a repurposed fishing boat or a standard RIB with some cushions thrown in.

The Technohull Attitude 35 is an 11.1-metre Greek-built performance cruiser that turns heads in every harbour it enters. Deep V hull with ventilated steps for elevated performance. Proper cabin with facilities. Teak decking. Premium sound system. Shelter if the weather turns.

Maximum 6 guests. Onboard toilet and fridge. Champagne included. All berthing fees covered. No hidden fuel surcharges.

It’s been described by clients as “the sleekest charter boat in the UK”—and they’re not wrong.

Your Itinerary: 25th April 2026

10:15
Arrive & Familiarise
Safety briefing, get comfortable, store bags, fit lifejackets. The journey starts here.

10:30
Depart Lymington
Champagne poured, you’re off across the western Solent.

11:00
Hurst Castle
The Tudor fortress guards the narrowest point between the mainland and Isle of Wight. From the water, you understand why Henry VIII built it here.

11:15
The Needles
Three chalk stacks rising from the sea, backed by dramatic cliffs. The lighthouse. Scratchell’s Bay. This coastline only reveals its full drama from a boat. We get you close!

12:00
Yarmouth Harbour
The quintessential Isle of Wight harbour town. History, charm, and a view across to Lymington.

12:40
Arrival in Cowes
The spiritual home of British yachting. Time to explore before lunch.

13:00
Lunch at Royal Ocean Racing Club
One of the most exclusive sailing clubs in the world. Exceptional food with sea views that justify the reputation. Not accessible by road—you’re arriving by boat. (Guests settle their own food and drink bill at the table, allowing full freedom of choice from the menu)

15:00
Depart Cowes
The afternoon leg offers something entirely different.

15:30
Newtown Creek Seal Colony
This is why you need a boat. The Isle of Wight’s resident seal population lives in this tranquil nature reserve. No road access. No viewing platforms. Just you, the water, and genuinely wild animals in their natural habitat. (The colony has been present for every Attitude Charter visit to date—a perfect track record)

16:30
Return to Lymington
Six hours on the water. The entire western Solent experienced as it should be.

What’s Included

Plenty of Champagne served on board along with unlimited soft drinks, beers and water

Why This Matters

Most people who visit the western Solent see one, maybe two destinations. The Needles from Alum Bay. A lunch in Yarmouth. A walk around Cowes.

This experience connects them all in one day, showing how they relate to each other geographically and why the western Solent is considered one of Britain’s most distinctive cruising grounds.

For those unfamiliar with powerboating: It’s a rare chance to understand what makes this coastline special without committing to boat ownership or RYA courses.

For experienced boaters: It’s an opportunity to explore destinations they may not have reached under their own steam, hosted by someone who genuinely knows these waters.

Practical Information

What Should You Wear?

Comfortable, warm layers are recommended, along with soft-soled shoes. No black soles please. The boat has high-performance seating and a full-width windscreen, although the sea air can feel cooler at speed.

Weather Policy

Your charter runs in all normal weather conditions. Rain does not prevent the trip, but extreme wind or unsafe sea states may require rescheduling at the Skipper’s discretion.

Booking Process

A 50% deposit reserves your seat, with the remaining balance due 30 days before the trip (25th March 2026). You’ll receive a Charter Proposal with Terms & Conditions, a signature box, and will be taken to a secure payment page.

Important: This is a single-date experience with extremely limited availability. Only 6 places exist. If you’re considering it, Tim recommends contacting him directly with any questions about suitability.
