UIM Homologates Four Mercury Racing Engines for Offshore International Racing

The UIM has homologated four Mercury Racing engines for offshore international racing, opening them up across multiple classes from Offshore 2 through to the APBA Superstock category.

Mercury Racing has had four engines approved for UIM offshore international racing.

The approvals were announced by the UIM and cover engines at different power levels, each assigned a homologation number and cleared for specific class eligibility in line with the power and cubic capacity limits set out in Offshore Article 730.1.

The Approved Engines

The Mercury Racing 200R, carrying Homologation No.549, is approved for UIM Offshore 3 classes. The Mercury Racing 200 ROS, Homologation No.545, is likewise cleared for UIM Offshore 3 classes.

The Mercury Racing 300 ROS, Homologation No.547, has the broadest approval of the four. It is cleared for UIM Offshore 3 classes, the V2 class, and the APBA Superstock class.

The Mercury Racing 500R, Homologation No.548, is approved for the UIM Offshore 2 class.
