UIM Aquabike | Governance

The Union Internationale Motonautique has renewed its promotional agreement with Aquabike Promotion Ltd for a further ten-year period, securing the future of the UIM Aquabike World and Continental Championships through 2036.

Monaco Meeting Concludes Partnership Extension

UIM Secretary General Thomas Kurth and Raimondo Di San Germano, CEO of H2O Racing, met at UIM Headquarters in Monaco to finalize the renewed agreement. The discussions covered strategic direction for the discipline at international level and initiatives to stimulate growth.

Aquabike Promotion Ltd has served as the historic promoter of both championship series. The decade-long extension represents continuity for riders, organisers, and national federations.

Strategic Development Focus

The agreement establishes priorities for strengthening the sport’s global presence and raising event standards. Particular attention was given to consolidating these standards while ensuring continuity across the championship structure.

Partnership Scope: The renewed agreement covers both the UIM Aquabike World Championship and Continental Championships for the next ten years, running through 2036.

The meeting concluded with the execution of the promotional agreement between UIM and Aquabike Promotion Ltd, reaffirming what the federation described as mutual trust and shared vision between the governing body and its promoter partner.

Foundation for Future Development

According to the UIM, the new agreement provides a foundation for developing the Aquabike discipline with member federations through a growing number of international competitions on all continents.

The partnership extension comes as the UIM continues to manage multiple disciplines under its governance structure, including circuit racing, offshore powerboat racing, and various other powerboat categories alongside aquabike competition.
