24 Heures Motonautiques de Normandie 2026: Free Practice Complete at Poses

May 1, 2026 | John Moore | General News

Free practice at the inaugural 24 Heures Motonautiques de Normandie has concluded at Poses in the Eure, with Race 1 – twelve hours of racing, running through to midnight – scheduled to start at 12:00 CEST. All eleven entered boats completed the 09:00-10:30 session on the 2,183-metre circuit on the Seine. The session was not timed.

The entry list has been updated to version 6 since the original preview was published in March. Team Inshore Performance on Boat 1 – Alexis Fischer, Loic Huet and Aymeric Troussel – arrive as reigning UIM S3 World Champions, having secured the 2025 title at the decisive round in Mons, Belgium last August.

Boat 2, Team Touax MRK Racing, fields Peter Morin, Nelson Morin and Thomas Cleret. Peter is a seven-time Class 3 Endurance World Champion and current F1H2O competitor; Nelson is a multiple Endurance World Champion and the most prolific winner in the history of the 24 Heures de Rouen. Between them they won that event consecutively from 2013 to 2017.

Boat 27, BRT Maverick Racing, carries Alexandre Bourgeot, who races in F1H2O for Maverick Racing, alongside Thibault Clement and Enzo Lethiec. Boat 13, GSET by MRC, fields Jean-Baptiste Thomas – UIM F4 vice-world champion in 2025 – alongside Jérémy Brisset and Quentin Dailly, who together were part of the French squad that won the UIM World Circuit Endurance Championship.

On Boat 38, Monsnauteam mix Belgian and Swedish crews: Benjamin Berti and Maverick Grolet (Belgium) share driving duties with Hilmer Wiberg and Adam Wrenkler (Sweden). Wiberg, born in 2005, holds three world championship titles across GT15, GT30 and 3J, and took world silver in his debut F2 season in 2025. Wrenkler finished third in the 2025 UIM F4 World Championship. The Latvian-Lithuanian entry on Boat 69, Akvashelf Racing, fields four pilots from the Baltic states: Toms Smilskalns and Niklaus Rimeicans (Latvia), with Nida Kilinskaite and Paulius Stainys (Lithuania).

Boat 13 is named GSET by MRC in V6; Antoine Boutrais, who appeared in earlier versions, does not appear. Boat 87 confirms Jason Houisse as a fourth pilot.
